ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM  of our church will be held in 5 weeks time! Sunday March 11 at 2 pm on our premises here.

(1) Please pray for the meeting and for those who will be nominated and elected.

(2) Leaflets outlining the functions of councillors and wardens (white paper), and  nomination forms are available today—for: Wardens (blue), Parish Council (yellow) and Parish Nominators (green).  Please act on these NOW.

(3) If you have any matters to discuss at the meeting under “general business”, please think about it now and tell Rick at least a week before the meeting.

The Rector writes: ‘I believe that those standing for election should be certain types of people. They should have turned their lives over to the Lord, be attending church here regularly on Sundays, be in a home bible group, be regular in prayer (e.g. see  our new daily prayer points, Prayer Diary etc.), be serving in at least one ministry through St Stephen’s,  be giving to our church generously (the Bible’s standard is to at least  give a tenth, or ‘tithe’), exhibit maturity as believers and be active in witnessing about the Lord.
